Zepto Agent Dragged, Beaten In Bengaluru After Alleged Argument Over Hindi

A Zepto delivery agent was allegedly assaulted by a group following a dispute in the Yelahanka Upanagar area early on Saturday. The attack, which reportedly occurred while the worker was making deliveries at around 3.30 a.m., was captured by a nearby CCTV camera. Police have arrested four people, including a woman, in connection with the incident.

According to the complaint filed by the delivery agent, a group of people allegedly directed abusive remarks at him in Hindi while he was travelling through the area for work. The agent questioned them about their conduct, leading to an argument. The exact words allegedly used, the reason for the initial confrontation and the identities of those involved have not been disclosed by authorities.

The verbal dispute reportedly escalated into physical violence shortly afterward. The delivery agent alleged that he was dragged onto the road and beaten by members of the group. Available information does not specify the nature or severity of his injuries or whether he required hospital treatment following the assault.
