Udhayanidhi Promotes Dravidian Model 2.0 Against Delhi Team At Singampunari Rally

Udhayanidhi urges Singampunari voters to back Dravidian model.

DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin addressed a rally in Singampunari, Sivaganga, urging supporters to back what he described as the “Dravidian Model 2.0” in the upcoming state elections. Speaking to a large crowd, he called for a decisive defeat of what he referred to as the “hostile Delhi team,” a reference to the central government’s policies that he claimed undermine Tamil Nadu’s interests.

Udhayanidhi emphasized the importance of regional governance that prioritizes social welfare, education, and economic development, reiterating the DMK’s vision for inclusive growth. He highlighted the achievements of the party in improving public health, infrastructure, and women’s empowerment programs, framing them as core pillars of the proposed “Dravidian Model 2.0.”

The rally also focused on local issues in Sivaganga district, including water management, rural employment, and agricultural support. Udhayanidhi criticized rival parties for allegedly neglecting grassroots concerns, arguing that a strong state government rooted in Dravidian principles is essential to protect local interests against external political interference.

Political analysts note that Udhayanidhi’s campaign is part of a broader strategy to consolidate urban and rural voter bases by emphasizing regional identity and self-governance. His reference to the “hostile Delhi team” signals the DMK’s ongoing criticism of the central government’s handling of state matters, particularly regarding resource allocation and policy implementation.

Party workers at the rally distributed campaign materials outlining the DMK’s manifesto and the proposed reforms under the Dravidian Model 2.0. Udhayanidhi urged citizens to actively participate in the election process and ensure a mandate that reflects regional priorities.

Observers suggest that such high-profile rallies are aimed at energizing the party cadre ahead of critical state elections. The DMK leadership hopes that emphasizing regional identity, social welfare programs, and opposition to perceived central overreach will resonate with voters across Tamil Nadu, particularly in constituencies like Sivaganga.
