Actor-turned-politician Vijay on Wednesday alleged that “conspiracies” were being hatched against him and his party, the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), even as he asserted confidence in his political journey from Karur to what he described as a “Jana Nayagan” (people’s leader). His remarks came during a public address that drew significant attention from supporters and political observers alike.
Vijay, who formally launched TVK as part of his political foray, said attempts were being made to undermine his credibility and slow his growing influence in Tamil Nadu politics.
