CJP Raises Three Demands During Nadda Meeting
The Centre on Monday initiated talks with the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) after Union minister JP Nadda met representatives of the protesting group during its “Chalo Sansad” march in Delhi. The meeting marked the first formal engagement between the government and CJP leaders since the protest intensified in the national capital. CJP leader Saurav Das said the delegation submitted a written memorandum outlining its key demands during the meeting with Nadda.
The representatives sought time to consult their leadership before responding further, while claiming that their concerns had been formally presented to the government. According to CJP leaders, the memorandum included three major demands. These included providing compensation of ₹1 crore to families of NEET aspirants affected by alleged examination-related failures, the release of activist Sonam Wangchuk, and steps to ensure accountability over issues raised by the organisation.
The meeting took place amid the CJP’s “Chalo Sansad” march, during which thousands of supporters gathered in Delhi demanding action on issues related to education and governance. The protest had led to heavy security deployment in central Delhi, with authorities restricting movement near Parliament and other sensitive areas. The CJP has been pressing for accountability over alleged failures in the education system, particularly concerns linked to competitive examination paper leaks.

The group has also supported Wangchuk, who had been on a hunger strike demanding government action on education-related issues. The meeting with Nadda represents a significant development in the ongoing standoff between the protesters and the government.
