BJP Torches AAP: No Development Delivered In Any Ruled State
Delhi BJP Chief Virendra Sachdeva claims AAP's 11-year rule brought zero development,
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of delivering "no development" in the states it governs, particularly Delhi and Punjab, despite years in power.
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva led the charge on March 1, 2026, claiming AAP's over-a-decade rule in Delhi and three-plus years in Punjab yielded negligible progress in infrastructure, healthcare, and law enforcement. He contrasted this with BJP's swift actions under Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, launching thousands of crores in projects and allocating Rs 100 crore per Delhi assembly constituency within a year.
The salvo responds to AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal's recent rally attacks on PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, where Kejriwal—cleared in a liquor policy case—predicted BJP's ouster and slammed its Delhi tenure for poor roads, water quality, and pollution. BJP counters that AAP's governance remains stagnant, burdened by debt in Punjab and failing basic services like reliable power at key hospitals.

This political sparring unfolds amid AAP's criticism of Union Budget 2026 for ignoring Punjab's farmers, women, and border needs, with leaders like Aman Arora urging fair treatment. BJP's Sunil Jakhar rebutted, saying Punjab could thrive via Centre-state collaboration on egalitarian initiatives inspired by Guru Ravidas. BJP's AAP critique highlights pre-election jostling as governance narratives sharpen.
