Andhra Minister Accuses Jagan Reddy of Blocking IT Parks, Threatening Jobs

Andhra Minister accuses ex-CM of blocking IT parks.

Andhra Pradesh Minister for IT, Electronics and Communications Nara Lokesh has launched a sharp critique against a spate of Public Interest Litigations targeting prominent IT park developments across the state, directly implicating former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and the YSR Congress Party in efforts to obstruct substantial employment generation for the youth.

Through a pointed post on X, Lokesh enumerated the affected projects involving leading firms such as TCS, Cognizant, Sattva Group, and the latest challenge against Raheja Corp's proposed facility in Visakhapatnam, emphasising that these combined initiatives possess the capacity to deliver over one lakh direct and indirect job opportunities essential for the economic advancement of Andhra Pradesh's younger demographic.

The most recent PIL contests the allocation of land for Raheja Corp's IT park in Visakhapatnam, initiated by petitioner G Srinivasa Rao from the Society for Protection of the Constitution and argued by senior counsel Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy, continuing a pattern that Lokesh described as systematic interference.

Lokesh contended that the recurrence of such legal obstructions projects a detrimental image to domestic and international investors, significantly hampering the state's strategic positioning as an attractive destination for cutting-edge technology sectors, innovative enterprises, and large-scale employment creation.

The minister reaffirmed the coalition government's unwavering commitment to upholding transparent, legally compliant procedures while vigorously defending investments that drive sustainable economic growth, livelihood creation, and overall prosperity, asserting that politically orchestrated hurdles cannot be tolerated amid focused endeavours to restore investor trust and empower the aspirations of the state's youthful population.
