UPSC Civil Services Exam 2026: Apply Online for 933 Posts Till February 24
UPSC Civil Services 2026 registration opens for 933 posts at upsc.gov.in.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has opened the registration window for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2026, inviting applications for a total of 933 vacancies across various central services. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official UPSC website, upsc.gov.in. The application process began on February 5 and will remain open until February 24, 2026.
According to the official schedule, the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026 will be conducted on May 24, 2026. Candidates who qualify for the preliminary stage will be eligible to appear for the Civil Services (Main) Examination, followed by the personality test or interview. The recruitment process will fill posts in services such as the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and other allied services.
In terms of eligibility, applicants must hold a graduate degree from a recognized university or possess an equivalent qualification as specified under the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. Candidates must also meet the prescribed age criteria, having attained 21 years of age and not exceeding 32 years as of August 1, 2026. This means applicants should have been born between August 2, 1994, and August 1, 2005. Age relaxations apply to candidates from reserved categories as per government norms.

The application fee for the Civil Services Examination 2026 is ₹100 for general category candidates. Women candidates, as well as those belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), are exempted from paying the fee. The fee can be paid online using credit or debit cards, UPI, or other approved digital payment methods. Candidates who qualify for the Main Examination will be required to pay an additional fee of ₹200 after the preliminary results are declared.
To apply, candidates must visit the UPSC website, access the Civil Services Examination 2026 registration link, complete the registration process, fill in the application form, and submit the required fee. After submission, applicants are advised to download and retain a copy of the confirmation page for future reference.
