Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to attend the G7 Summit 2026 in Evian, France, on June 16 and 17, where he is expected to highlight the priorities of developing nations and engage with world leaders on key global challenges. The summit marks the eighth consecutive G7 gathering to which India has been invited, underscoring the country's growing influence in international affairs.
Ahead of the summit, Modi said India would use the platform to advocate for the aspirations and concerns of the Global South. In an official statement issued before his departure for Europe, the prime minister said India's participation reflected the trust placed in the country by its international partners and its expanding role on the global stage.
