Tripura Boosts Education with 1,615 New Teacher Hires

Tripura’s game-changer for school education!

The Tripura government has approved the recruitment of 1,615 teachers to address the shortage of educators in government-run schools, Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury announced on Tuesday. This landmark decision aims to enhance the state’s educational landscape.

Of the new hires, 915 will be post-graduate teachers for Classes 11 and 12, appointed by the Teachers’ Recruitment Board of Tripura (TRBT). Additionally, 700 graduate teachers for Classes 9 and 10 will be recruited through the secondary education department’s existing process, ensuring a robust teaching framework.

The cabinet also greenlit filling 37 positions, including professors, associate professors, and a deputy registrar at Tripura Law University, further strengthening the state’s academic infrastructure. This initiative highlights Tripura’s dedication to improving educational quality and accessibility.
