Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Willing To Hand BRS Corruption Probe To CBI
Telangana CM Revanth Reddy indicates readiness to transfer investigation of BRS corruption cases to the CBI for impartial inquiry.
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Thursday expressed willingness to hand over the investigation into alleged corruption cases involving the BRS to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), amid mounting political pressure.
CM Reddy, addressing a press briefing, said the state government is committed to ensuring transparency and accountability in probing allegations of financial irregularities linked to BRS leaders and affiliated officials. He added that transferring the case to the CBI could help strengthen public confidence in the investigation.
The announcement comes in the wake of opposition parties and civil society groups demanding a thorough and impartial inquiry into alleged misappropriation of public funds during BRS’s tenure. CM Reddy emphasized that political affiliations should not obstruct the course of justice and that all evidence will be made available to central investigators.

Telangana authorities have already initiated preliminary inquiries into several BRS-linked cases, including alleged irregularities in government contracts, land deals, and other financial transactions. Officials said that moving the probe to the CBI could accelerate the investigation and ensure adherence to national-level investigative standards.
Political analysts noted that the decision to involve the CBI may also have strategic implications ahead of upcoming elections, signaling the ruling party’s intent to project a strong stance against corruption while maintaining procedural credibility.
Observers said the move reflects growing public scrutiny over governance and financial propriety in the state. They expect the central agency’s involvement to intensify investigations and potentially result in further high-profile developments in the coming months.
