At 6:00 AM on Wednesday, Army Aviation launched a high-stakes rescue mission under challenging weather conditions. Pilots navigated turbulent skies and poor visibility to reach the stranded group. The operation demanded precision, as the building’s structural integrity was rapidly deteriorating due to floodwaters. With remarkable skill, the Army helicopters airlifted all 25 individuals to safety, completing the evacuation just moments before the building succumbed to the flood’s pressure and collapsed.
