Rahul’s Yatra a ‘Game Changer’: Shivakumar

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar declared on Sunday that the INDIA bloc is poised to win the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, propelled by the momentum of Rahul Gandhi’s Voter Adhikar Yatra. Speaking to reporters in Araria, Bihar, during the yatra, Shivakumar, also the Karnataka Congress president, described the campaign as a “game changer” that has ignited nationwide discussion on vote theft. “Rahul Gandhi is fighting for the common man’s justice as guaranteed by the Constitution,” he said, joined by 11 Karnataka Congress MLAs.

Shivakumar highlighted the overwhelming response from Bihar’s youth, surpassing even the enthusiasm seen in Karnataka. “The youth want change, and that change is Mahagathbandhan. Last time, we missed by a whisker, but this time, we will form the government,” he predicted confidently. He emphasized Congress’s track record of fulfilling promises, citing Karnataka’s swift implementation of guarantee schemes as a model for Bihar’s proposed initiatives, which he believes will clinch victory for the INDIA bloc.

Addressing a BJP-driven social media controversy, Shivakumar debunked claims that he was sidelined during the yatra, accusing the BJP of circulating misleading images to distract from the issue of “vote chori.” Posting a photo of himself with Gandhi on the campaign jeep on X, he clarified, “The image was taken before I joined Rahul. The BJP’s obsession with photo angles avoids the real issue.” He urged critics to focus on stolen mandates rather than stirring doubts about Kannada pride, reaffirming his commitment to protecting it.
