PM Modi Condemns INDIA Bloc at Bihar Rally
PM Modi accuses opposition of shielding corruption, illegal immigrants.
At a fiery rally in Gayaji, Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the INDIA bloc, accusing them of obstructing efforts to curb corruption and address the “threat” of illegal immigrants. Modi indirectly referenced the Constitution (130th Amendment) Bill, 2025, which proposes removing elected officials, including the Prime Minister or Chief Ministers, from office if jailed for 30 days on serious charges. He also highlighted the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar, aimed at removing illegal immigrants from voter lists.
Modi criticized the opposition, particularly the Congress and RJD, for opposing the anti-corruption bill, alleging they fear accountability for their “sins.” He contrasted his government’s clean record with past Congress-led scams and RJD’s alleged corruption in Bihar, claiming, “A lowly clerk faces suspension for lesser offenses, but corrupt leaders cling to power.” The PM also accused the INDIA bloc of protecting “infiltrators” for vote-bank politics, emphasizing a “demography mission” to safeguard national resources.
The rally, attended by Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, saw Modi inaugurate development projects worth over Rs 13,000 crore, including a bridge he claimed was completed swiftly, unlike delayed projects under past regimes. He also referenced “Operation Sindoor,” vowing that terrorists would face India’s wrath anywhere, citing the neutralization of Pakistan’s retaliatory missiles.

Modi’s speech, partly in the local Magahi dialect, resonated with the crowd as he hailed Gayaji as the land of Lord Buddha and Lord Vishnu. The INDIA bloc, led by Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav, has countered with a “Voter Adhikar Yatra,” alleging the SIR is a BJP ploy to manipulate voter lists ahead of Bihar’s assembly polls.
