Rahul Leads ‘Gandhi se Ambedkar’ March in Patna

A powerful display of unity unfolded in Patna as the 'Gandhi se Ambedkar' march, marking the culmination of the Congress-led 'Vote Adhikar Yatra,' kicked off from the iconic Gandhi Maidan. Led by Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, the procession saw participation from top INDIA bloc leaders, including Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, CPI(ML) Liberation general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya, and TMC MP Yusuf Pathan, among others.
The march, a symbolic journey from the statue of Mahatma Gandhi to B.R. Ambedkar near Patna High Court, began with floral tributes to Gandhi. Covering key routes like S.P. Verma Road, Dak Bungalow Crossing, Kotwali Thana, Nehru Path, and Income Tax Roundabout, the procession highlighted the Congress’ 14-day, 1,300-km 'Vote Adhikar Yatra.' Launched by Rahul Gandhi on August 17 from Sasaram, the yatra traversed 110 assembly constituencies across 25 of Bihar’s 38 districts, rallying support ahead of the upcoming state elections.
The campaign aimed to spotlight alleged assaults on voting rights, particularly through the special intensive revision of electoral rolls in Bihar, which the INDIA bloc claims threatens fair representation. “This march is a call to protect the democratic rights of every citizen,” Rahul Gandhi declared, emphasizing the yatra’s mission to safeguard voter access and ensure electoral integrity.
