Pune Man Ends Life at Lonavala’s Tiger Point, FIR Filed for Abetment of Suicide
A Pune-based man jumps to death from Lonavala’s Tiger Point after sending a blame video to his wife.
A 31-year-old sales employee from Pune allegedly died by suicide after jumping from Tiger Point in Lonavala on Thursday, police said. The incident came to light after the man reportedly sent a video message to his wife moments before the fall, blaming some of his colleagues for his extreme step.
According to officials, the deceased was originally from Kolkata and had been residing in the Hinjewadi area of Pune for work. He was employed with a company dealing in shipping containers. Investigators said the video shared with his wife shortly before the incident is now part of the probe.
Police launched a search operation after the man’s wife, who was in Mumbai at the time, alerted authorities when he stopped responding to her calls. The body was later recovered from a valley approximately 250 feet below Tiger Point, a popular but dangerous cliffside viewpoint.

The case has raised concerns about workplace stress and mental health pressures faced by young professionals. Police said they are examining digital evidence and statements from the deceased’s family and coworkers to establish the sequence of events.
