Pradhan Guarantees Flawless NEET UG Re-Test With on-Time Results

Education Minister reviews NTA preparations, promises error-free NEET UG re-examination

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday assured NEET UG candidates that the upcoming re-examination would be conducted with stringent safeguards to ensure a fair and error-free process. Speaking after reviewing preparations at the National Testing Agency (NTA) headquarters in New Delhi, Pradhan said the government was committed to maintaining transparency and restoring confidence among students following concerns raised over the examination process earlier this year.

Addressing the media, the minister emphasized that authorities were taking all necessary measures to ensure that the retest is conducted smoothly and securely. He also assured students that the results would be declared within the planned timeline to prevent significant disruption to the academic calendar. “We will bring out the exam results at the right time so that the learning time loss is not too much. I would like to reassure the students—you all should focus on your studies,” Pradhan said.

The minister further stated that the NTA is undergoing institutional strengthening, including the addition of new officials and the implementation of enhanced administrative mechanisms. According to Pradhan, these measures are aimed at improving examination management, security protocols, and overall accountability within the agency. He added that the government remains focused on ensuring that large-scale national entrance examinations are conducted with the highest standards of integrity.

The assurance comes amid heightened scrutiny of the NEET UG examination system following allegations related to irregularities and paper leaks in recent examinations. As part of ongoing preparedness efforts, Pradhan said the Union Home Secretary is expected to chair a high-level review meeting in the coming days to assess arrangements for the re-examination. The government has urged students to remain focused on their studies while authorities work to ensure a transparent, secure, and timely examination process.
