Patna Highway Accident Leaves Five Businessmen Dead

In a devastating tragedy on the Patna-Gaya-Dobhi four-lane National Highway 83 in Bihar, five businessmen lost their lives in a horrific accident in the early hours of Thursday, September 4, 2025. The catastrophic collision occurred around 12:45 a.m. near Suiya Mor under the Parsa Bazar police station, when a speeding car carrying the victims rammed into a truck with such force that the front portion of the car became embedded in the truck’s rear.
The victims, all prominent businessmen in the pesticide and agro-products sector, were identified as Rajesh Kumar (50), Sanjay Kumar Sinha (55), Kamal Kishore (38), Prakash Chaurasia (35), and Sunil Kumar (38). Hailing from Patna and nearby districts like Samastipur and Muzaffarpur, the group was returning to Patna after a business trip to Fatuha when the accident occurred. Rajesh Kumar, in particular, was known for running a well-established agro agency with an extensive network across the region.
Local residents, alerted by the deafening crash, rushed to the scene and notified the police. The Patna Police, using gas cutters and a crane, worked tirelessly for nearly two hours to extricate the bodies from the mangled wreckage. The severity of the crash left little chance of survival, with initial investigations pointing to excessive speed as a key factor. Authorities noted that the truck was either moving slowly or parked without proper signaling, leaving the car driver with no time to brake.

The bodies were sent to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) for post-mortem examinations, and the families were informed through calls made to the victims’ mobile phones. A case has been registered against the truck driver, who is currently absconding, at the Parsa Bazar police station. Patna Police are actively pursuing the driver to bring him to justice.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the local business community and the victims’ families, who are grappling with the sudden loss. The accident underscores the dangers of speeding on highways and the need for stricter enforcement of road safety regulations.
