Nitin Nabin, Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Lead Tiranga Yatra At Kartavya Path

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Nitin Nabin, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra and several other leaders participated in a Tiranga Yatra at Kartavya Path on Wednesday, ahead of India's 80th Independence Day celebrations. The event brought together political leaders and thousands of young participants carrying the national flag.

Addressing reporters, Nabin described the Tricolour as a symbol of sacrifice, truth, national identity and unity. He noted that the Tiranga Yatra reflected the participation of people across the country and linked the national flag with India's collective aspirations. He also referred to the Tricolour as a symbol of self-respect and said the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign had developed into a widespread public initiative.

Nabin also paid tribute to freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose during the event. Referring to his statue at Kartavya Path, he noted the significance of the location and remembered Bose as a courageous freedom fighter whose contribution continues to remind Indians of the sacrifices made during the struggle for independence.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta paid tribute to freedom fighters and extended her greetings to people in Delhi and across the country ahead of Independence Day. She thanked the young participants who gathered at Kartavya Path with the Tricolour and joined the march. Addressing the gathering, she urged people to strengthen their resolve to take India forward and work towards the goal of building a developed nation.

Gupta also linked the responsibilities of present-day citizens with the sacrifices made by India's freedom fighters. She noted that while earlier generations fought for independence, the responsibility of advancing the country now rests with its citizens. She urged participants to carry forward the spirit of national development and contribute to India's progress.

Delhi BJP chief and Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra described the Tiranga Yatra and the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative as expressions of respect for the national flag and the country. He also remembered the sacrifices of India's freedom fighters and noted the participation of people across the country in Independence Day-related activities. The Tiranga Yatra formed part of preparations for the 80th Independence Day celebrations.
