Chennai witnessed a moment of concern on January 30 after senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader H Raja collapsed suddenly while participating in a live discussion on an English news channel. The incident prompted immediate medical intervention and raised concerns among party members and supporters across Tamil Nadu.

H Raja, who serves as the Convenor of the Tamil Nadu BJP coordination committee, was rushed to a nearby hospital soon after the incident. Following preliminary treatment, he was later referred to a private hospital on Greams Road in Chennai for advanced medical care.

According to sources close to the leader, Raja’s condition has since stabilized, though he remains under medical supervision. A hospital source confirmed that he is currently being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and is under close observation by a specialized neurology team to monitor his recovery.

An update posted on Raja’s official account on social media platform ‘X’ reassured supporters about his health. “He will receive medical treatment for a few more days and by the grace of God will fully recover and return home in good health,” the message stated.

Party leaders and well-wishers have expressed relief at the improvement in his condition, while medical experts have advised continued observation to ensure a full recovery. Further updates are expected as Raja continues treatment over the coming days.
