India Warns Citizens: Avoid Cambodia’s Volatile Border Zones
Advisory issued as Thailand-Cambodia clashes claim 32 lives.
Amid escalating clashes along the Cambodia-Thailand border, India issued an urgent advisory on Saturday, urging its citizens in Cambodia to steer clear of border areas. The conflict, now in its third day, has claimed 32 lives—19 in Thailand and 13 in Cambodia—according to reports.
The Indian embassy in Phnom Penh posted on X, advising Indian nationals to avoid travel to the volatile border regions and to contact the mission in emergencies.
This follows a similar advisory issued on Friday for Indian citizens in Thailand, cautioning against travel to seven provinces. The ongoing violence underscores the need for heightened vigilance as India prioritizes the safety of its citizens in the region.
