Hinjewadi IT Park Exiting Maharashtra? Pawar’s Outburst Shocks

Ajit Pawar claims IT park shifting to Bengaluru, Hyderabad.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar sparked alarm by claiming that Hinjewadi IT Park, a major tech hub in Pune, is relocating to Bengaluru and Hyderabad. His fiery remarks, made during a civic inspection in Pimpri Chinchwad, have gone viral, raising concerns about the state’s economic future.

“We’re doomed! Hinjewadi IT Park is moving out of Pune, out of Maharashtra, to Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Don’t you care?” Pawar snapped at local Sarpanch Ganesh Jambhulkar during a heated exchange, captured on video. The outburst came as Pawar inspected waterlogging and other civic issues in Hinjewadi at 6 AM.

When Jambhulkar raised local grievances in front of the media, Pawar, visibly frustrated, responded, “Temples are displaced for dams. Say what you want, I’ll listen, but I’ll do what I must. Why am I here at 6 AM? We’ve been ruined!” He then urged media to stop recording, hinting at stricter measures to address the situation.
