Ministers Hide from Spies: Phones Off!
Mahayuti ministers switch off phones, fear tapping.
NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar sparked controversy by claiming that several Maharashtra government ministers have switched off their phones, fearing they are being tapped. The allegations, posted on X on Friday, come amid rumors of an impending Cabinet reshuffle, with Shiv Sena (UBT) suggesting that five to six ministers, primarily from Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena faction, may face dismissal.
“Some ministers’ phones are unreachable, with whispers they’re off due to tapping fears. Time will reveal if this is true,” said Pawar, a second-term MLA from Karjat Jamkhed and general secretary of Sharad Pawar’s NCP (SP).
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar swiftly rebuffed the claims, demanding evidence. “Anyone can make allegations, but they must provide proof,” he told reporters.
