Fatal Crash Kills Four Family Members in Ranchi

Four killed, one injured in autorickshaw-truck collision.

A catastrophic head-on collision between an autorickshaw and a truck claimed the lives of four family members and left one woman critically injured in Ranchi, Jharkhand, on Wednesday night. The accident took place at Chamghati on the Ranchi-Purulia Road, under the jurisdiction of Angara police station, as the family was heading towards Ranchi.

Hiralal Sah, the in-charge of Angara police station, identified the victims as Seikh Gayasuddin, the autorickshaw driver, his mother Ayesha Khatun, his wife Joraddin, and his young son Seikh Aman, all residents of the Kantatoli area in Ranchi. The sole survivor, a woman, sustained severe injuries and was promptly admitted to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Ranchi for emergency treatment.

Preliminary investigations suggest the truck driver lost control, causing the devastating crash. The impact was so intense that the truck overturned, but the driver fled the scene, leaving the wreckage behind. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem examinations to establish the exact cause of death.
