A domestic LPG cylinder blast at the basement of a preschool in Wagholi sent shockwaves through residents on Sunday evening, prompting a police inquiry into the incident. According to eyewitness accounts, the explosion was sudden and loud enough to alarm the entire neighbourhood. One resident said he was watching an IPL match when he heard a powerful blast that initially felt like structural damage to his home. Moments later, flames were noticed in the preschool area, triggering an urgent response from those present in the society.

In a crucial development, a young girl was reportedly the first to spot the fire and alert her father, who then informed other residents. The timely communication led to a rapid evacuation of the buildings in the society, ensuring that people moved to safety before the situation could worsen. Residents cooperated with emergency responders and allowed officials to take control of the situation.
