Delhi’s Maxfort School Evacuated After Bomb Threat E-mail Causes Panic

Early morning bomb threat sparks school evacuation

New Delhi witnessed a morning of panic on Friday when Maxfort School in Dwarka was evacuated following a bomb threat received via e-mail. The Delhi Fire Service (DFS) confirmed that it received an emergency call about the threat at 7:05 am, prompting swift action.

Police teams, bomb disposal squads, and fire tenders were immediately deployed to the scene in Dwarka’s Sector 7. Officials said the entire school premises were cleared, and students as well as staff were safely evacuated as a precautionary measure.

“The building has been evacuated and thorough checking is underway to ensure the safety of the students,” a senior police official said.

Authorities have yet to confirm whether the threat was genuine or a hoax. The school has suspended classes for the day, while parents rushed to pick up their children after receiving frantic calls.

This is not the first time Delhi schools have faced such threats. Over the past year, several institutions across the capital have reported hoax bomb threats via e-mail, raising serious concerns about security and the emotional toll on students and parents.

The Delhi Police Cyber Cell is expected to investigate the origin of the threat mail, while security has been tightened in the area.
