Delhi Schools in Chaos: Bomb Threats Spark Massive Search at St Stephen's and St Thomas!

St Stephen's College and St Thomas School in Delhi receive chilling bomb threat emails, triggering intense police and fire department searches.

Panic gripped Delhi as St Stephen's College and St Thomas School received bomb threat emails on Tuesday morning, prompting a swift response from emergency services, police confirmed.

A multi-agency team, including Delhi Police, bomb squads, dog units, and the fire department, descended on both locations to conduct thorough searches. Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Raja Banthia revealed that St Stephen's College received the threatening email at 7:15 AM, claiming four IED bombs and two RDX devices were hidden on the premises and in the library, set to detonate by 2 PM.

"The entire area has been secured, and a meticulous inspection is underway," Banthia stated. "No suspicious items have been found so far."

The Delhi Fire Service (DFS) reported receiving calls about the threats at 8:50 AM for St Stephen's and 8:01 AM for St Thomas. "Multiple fire tenders were dispatched immediately, but nothing suspicious has been detected," a DFS official said.

This follows a similar scare on Monday when three other Delhi schools—CRPF schools in Sector 16, Dwarka, and Prashant Vihar, along with Navy Children School in Chanakyapuri—received bomb threat emails, later deemed hoaxes.

Authorities continue to investigate the source of the threats as the city remains on high alert.
