During an urgent late-night review attended by top fire officials and ministers, Gupta issued non-negotiable orders to eliminate every redundant rule, scrap endless file movements, and convert the entire fire NOC process into a transparent, digital, time-bound system where legitimate applicants receive approvals within days instead of months of harassment.
Home Minister Ashish Sood declared war on negligence, unveiling plans for a revolutionary self-certification portal allowing business owners to upload documents and track status in real time, while simultaneously warning that once the streamlined system is live any venue found operating without valid NOC or flouting safety norms will face instant closure, bulldozer sealing, and criminal charges against owners.

The Chief Minister placed the entire Delhi Fire Service on red alert, authorising unlimited budgetary support for cutting-edge firefighting equipment, thermal drones, and rapid-response vehicles, while directing weekly surprise raids on hotels, restaurants, pubs, banquet halls and wedding venues starting immediately to enforce compliance.
Describing the Goa tragedy as an unforgivable national shame, Gupta positioned Delhi to become India’s gold standard for fire safety by marrying lightning-fast approvals with merciless enforcement, vowing that no establishment in the national capital will ever again become a death trap due to red tape or official apathy.
