Delhi Assembly Goes Paperless with NeVA Training Blitz
CM Gupta, Minister Singh embrace digital shift for Monsoon Session.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and PWD Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh participated in a training session on the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) at the Delhi Assembly on Tuesday, marking a significant step toward a fully paperless legislative process. The upcoming Monsoon Session, expected to begin around August 4, will leverage NeVA to digitize operations, officials confirmed.
The training, held on its second day, was overseen by Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta and saw robust engagement from MLAs. Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs officials demonstrated NeVA’s features, designed to streamline legislative tasks under the Centre’s ‘One Nation, One Application’ initiative. Gupta and Singh explored the platform’s digital List of Business using newly issued iPhones, showcasing its practical application.
The Assembly has established a NeVA training center equipped with 18 new computer terminals to support the transition. “This initiative ushers in a new era of transparency and efficiency,” Speaker Gupta stated, emphasizing NeVA’s role in modernizing governance. Smartphones were distributed to MLAs to ensure seamless access to the platform during the session.
