CM Gupta Praises Malayali Community, Arya Samaj During Multiple Events

Rekha Gupta lauds Malayali contribution and honours Arya Samaj values at multiple Delhi events.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta joined the Malayali community’s Onam celebrations on Sunday, praising their significant contributions to the capital’s cultural and social fabric. Speaking at the Onam Ponnonam festivities at JLN Auditorium, AIIMS campus, Gupta highlighted the vibrant cultural displays, floral decorations, and traditional Kerala cuisine, noting they transported her to Kerala. She commended the Malayali community’s global reputation in nursing and healthcare, emphasizing their role in enriching Delhi through hard work and values. The event, attended by former Union Minister V. Muraleedharan and other dignitaries, began at the Chief Minister Seva Sadan with Malayali families.

Gupta also inaugurated the 171st Shri Narayan Guru Jayanti at Kerala School in Vikas Puri, honoring the saint’s legacy of promoting equality and dismantling caste barriers. She described his life as an inspiration for building an inclusive society, aligning with Delhi’s diverse ethos. The chief minister reaffirmed her government’s commitment to fostering an inclusive capital where all communities thrive.

Later, Gupta participated in Arya Samaj events, including the 47th Foundation Day of the Central Arya Yuvak Parishad at Defence Colony and the annual festival’s closing ceremony at Arya Samaj Ved Mandir, Pitampura. She praised the organization’s contributions to nation-building, particularly Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati’s teachings on truth, harmony, and women’s empowerment. Gupta credited his efforts for enabling her own rise to chief minister, underscoring the Arya Samaj’s focus on public welfare and social service.

Gupta linked Delhi’s progress to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance, likening him to a saint steering the city toward excellence. She also highlighted ongoing programs commemorating Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati’s 150th birth anniversary, reflecting his enduring influence. The chief minister’s engagements underscored Delhi’s strength in its diversity, with the Malayali community and Arya Samaj playing pivotal roles in its cultural and social advancement.
