CM Bhupendra Patel Invites Investors To Gujarat At Vibrant Summit Curtain-Raiser
CM Bhupendra Patel invites investors to explore Gujarat’s manufacturing and green-energy opportunities.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Monday invited domestic and global investors, entrepreneurs and business leaders to explore opportunities in the state across manufacturing, emerging technologies and green energy. Addressing the curtain-raiser for the 11th Vibrant Gujarat summit, Patel presented the state as a global investment destination backed by policy stability, effective governance, skilled youth, transparency and infrastructure.
The three-day summit is scheduled to begin on January 10, 2027, with “Viksit Gujarat - Shaping Global Future” as its theme. Patel urged investors to participate in Gujarat’s development by establishing new manufacturing capacities, investing in new technologies and exploring opportunities in green growth. He said the state had attracted $74.6 billion in investment between January 2000 and March 2026.
Patel also highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s seven-point “Sapta Dhara” reform framework aimed at accelerating India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation by 2047. The framework focuses on manufacturing, agro-food production and food processing, technology and innovation, logistics, defence, the green and blue economy, and soft power. Patel said Gujarat was prepared to contribute to these areas as part of the country’s long-term development goals.

The Chief Minister described Vibrant Gujarat as more than an investment summit, calling it a platform for knowledge sharing and a reflection of investor confidence in the state. He highlighted Gujarat’s investment ecosystem, which he said combines infrastructure and land availability with policy stability, speed, transparency and a skilled workforce. Patel added that the state was now looking beyond traditional industries towards sectors expected to shape the economy over the next two decades, including green hydrogen and other green-energy industries.
Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya also highlighted Gujarat’s position as a major investment destination and pointed to opportunities for multinational companies. Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi invited industry to invest in the state and said the government would work as a partner with investors. He added that six of the 12 approved semiconductor plants in India are coming up in Gujarat, with three already having started production.
The state government is also seeking to strengthen Gujarat’s role in future-oriented industries while expanding its position as a centre for investment and economic growth. Patel said the government aims to make Gujarat a source of India’s soft power while continuing to promote green hydrogen and green energy. The upcoming Vibrant Gujarat summit is expected to provide a platform for investors and industry leaders to examine these opportunities and engage with the state’s development agenda.
