At Jaisalmer AFS, President Murmu Undertakes PRACHAND Helicopter Sortie

President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday undertook a sortie on the indigenously developed Prachand helicopter at the Jaisalmer Air Force Station (AFS), highlighting India’s advancements in defence aviation technology. The visit marked a significant engagement by the President with the Indian Armed Forces and underscored her support for domestic defence manufacturing initiatives.

During the sortie, President Murmu was briefed on the Prachand helicopter’s operational capabilities, including its advanced avionics, maneuverability, and versatility in diverse combat and rescue scenarios. Officials at Jaisalmer AFS explained that the helicopter is designed to meet the Indian Army’s tactical requirements, providing enhanced firepower and reconnaissance support.
