Army and ITBP Showcase Unstoppable Combat Power in Arunachal

Indian forces dominate high-altitude drills, ensuring border security.

In a powerful display of military prowess, the Indian Army and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) conducted an intensive four-day exercise from August 25 to 28, 2025, in the rugged forward areas of Arunachal Pradesh. The joint operation, named Exercise Achook Prahar, highlighted the forces' combat readiness and seamless coordination in challenging high-altitude environments, reinforcing their commitment to safeguarding India’s frontiers.

The exercise focused on validating operational preparedness, with both forces demonstrating exceptional interoperability. Under simulated battlefield conditions, troops executed coordinated firepower responses, employing an array of weaponry including mortars, machine guns, rockets, and grenades. The drills emphasized precision, rapid response, and battlefield effectiveness, showcasing the synergy between the Army and ITBP in countering potential threats.

Guwahati-based defence spokesman Lt Col Mahendra Rawat emphasized that the exercise reaffirmed the armed forces' and Central Armed Police Forces' (CAPFs) unwavering resolve to maintain peak combat readiness. The successful operation sends a clear message about India’s robust defense capabilities along its sensitive borders.

Exercise Achook Prahar not only tested the forces’ tactical skills but also their ability to operate cohesively in extreme conditions. The high-altitude terrain of Arunachal Pradesh, coupled with its strategic significance, made this exercise a critical demonstration of India’s military strength and preparedness to tackle any challenge.
