Arjun Ram Meghwal To Present Awards At 58th Delhi Youth Parliament Competition
Winning Delhi schools will receive Youth Parliament competition honours.
Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal will distribute prizes to students and schools for their performance in the 58th Youth Parliament Competition 2025-26 on Tuesday. The prize distribution function for schools under the Directorate of Education, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, and the Department of Education, NDMC, will be held at the GMC Balayogi Auditorium in the Parliament Library Building at the Parliament House Complex. The event will recognise schools and students for their performance in the competition.
Bal Bharti Public School, Parwana Road, Pitampura, Delhi, which secured first place in the 58th Youth Parliament Competition, will present a repeat performance of its Youth Parliament Sitting during the function. The school will also receive the GV Mavalankar Running Parliamentary Shield and Trophy for securing the top position.
The school will additionally receive the trophy for standing first among new entrant schools. Eleven schools will also be presented with merit trophies as part of the recognition programme. The competition was organised during 2025-26 for schools under the Directorate of Education and the NDMC Department of Education.

The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has been organising Youth Parliament Competitions for schools in Delhi for about six decades. The programme is designed to familiarise students with parliamentary practices and procedures while encouraging discussion, debate, leadership and effective public speaking.
The Youth Parliament Scheme also seeks to promote self-discipline, tolerance of differing viewpoints and the constructive expression of opinions among students. Through participation in simulated parliamentary proceedings, students gain exposure to democratic practices while developing confidence and communication skills.
