Amit Shah Highlights Government Focus On Youth Aspirations And Welfare

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday backed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement of setting up fast-track courts for cases related to examination paper leaks, including the NEET paper leak controversy. Shah said the move reflects the government’s commitment to protecting the future of students and ensuring strict action against those responsible for compromising the education system.

Shah stated that the welfare and progress of India’s youth remain among the government’s highest priorities. Reacting to the Prime Minister’s announcement, he said the establishment of fast-track courts would help ensure speedy trials and stronger action against individuals involved in paper leak cases. He added that the step would serve as an important milestone in safeguarding the interests of young people.

Prime Minister Modi had earlier announced that authorities would take necessary measures to fast-track justice in cases involving examination irregularities. In a post on X, the Prime Minister said that nothing was more important than the welfare and future of the country’s youth, adding that those who threaten students’ aspirations would not be spared. He also directed officials to take steps to protect the interests of students affected by such incidents.

Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal also supported the decision, describing India’s youth as one of the country’s biggest strengths. Goyal highlighted the government’s focus on creating a secure and fair environment for young people.

The NEET paper leak issue has become a major national controversy, with concerns raised over examination security and the impact of alleged irregularities on lakhs of students. The matter has triggered political debate between the government and opposition parties, both inside Parliament and through public protests.
