Qatar And Kuwait Resume Air Travel Operations
Qatar, Kuwait resume flights after disruption to regional travel.
Authorities in Qatar and Kuwait have resumed normal commercial flight operations after temporary disruptions linked to heightened regional tensions during the ongoing Iran-related conflict in West Asia. Aviation officials confirmed that airports in both countries have gradually restored schedules following security reviews and coordination with international aviation authorities.
Flights from Hamad International Airport in Doha and Kuwait International Airport had faced delays and cancellations earlier due to precautionary restrictions and airspace management concerns as the conflict escalated. The resumption of services is expected to ease travel disruptions affecting thousands of passengers, including transit travellers and expatriates in the Gulf region.
Airlines operating in the region, including Qatar Airways and Kuwait Airways, said they are gradually restoring their flight schedules while continuing to monitor the security situation. Some routes may still experience adjustments or delays as carriers re-align aircraft availability and crew rotations following the earlier disruptions.

Aviation authorities in both countries stated that safety assessments were conducted before reopening airspace fully to commercial operations. Coordination with regional air traffic control centres was also strengthened to ensure that flight paths avoid sensitive areas where military activity has been reported.
The disruption had affected travel across several Gulf hubs, which serve as major transit points connecting Asia, Europe and North America. Airlines had temporarily rerouted or suspended flights due to airspace restrictions and safety advisories issued during the escalation of hostilities.
With services resuming, passengers have been advised to check updated flight schedules and airline advisories before travelling. Officials said operations are expected to stabilise in the coming days, although aviation authorities remain alert to any further developments in the region that could impact air travel.
