Pakistan Says It Will Continue Facilitating US-Iran Dialogue Amid Ongoing Ceasefire Efforts
Pakistan confirms continued mediation in US-Iran talks and urges ceasefire to remain in place.
Pakistan has said it will continue to facilitate diplomatic engagement between the United States and Iran and has urged both sides to ensure that a fragile ceasefire remains intact, following high-level negotiations that ended without a breakthrough.
The announcement was made by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar after marathon discussions hosted in Islamabad concluded without a final agreement. According to official statements, Pakistan played a mediating role throughout the talks, which extended for nearly 21 hours and involved extensive exchanges between the two sides.
Dar said Pakistan had helped facilitate what he described as “intense and constructive” negotiations, and reiterated that Islamabad would continue to support dialogue efforts in the coming days. He stressed that maintaining momentum in diplomatic engagement was essential for regional stability and long-term peace.
