Netanyahu Releases Kirya Command Centre Video Confirming Deaths of Two Iranian Leaders
Netanyahu posts war room video confirming Iranian leaders killed while dismissing his death rumours.
Benjamin Netanyahu has appeared in a new video to dismiss ongoing rumours about his death, delivering a message from Israel’s high-security Kirya command centre while standing alongside top military and intelligence officials. The Israeli prime minister used the video to reaffirm his leadership amid the escalating regional conflict and to address both domestic and international audiences.
In the clip, Netanyahu is seen with senior figures including defence and intelligence chiefs, stating, “I’m here with Israel’s Defence Minister, our Chief of Staff, the head of the Mossad, the Chief of Air Force, our senior commanders.” The video, shared on social media platform X, was also timed with a message to the people of Iran on the occasion of Nowruz, the Persian New Year.
During his address, Netanyahu confirmed the killing of two senior Iranian figures — Ali Larijani and Gholamreza Soleimani — describing them as among the top leadership targeted in recent Israeli strikes. Their deaths come in the wake of the earlier killing of Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran.

Netanyahu said Israeli forces had intensified operations, claiming that aircraft were striking targets across multiple locations. “In the past 24 hours, we knocked out two of the top terrorist chieftains of this tyranny,” he said, referring to Iran’s leadership. He added that the military campaign is aimed at weakening what Israel describes as hostile networks operating in the region.
The prime minister also drew attention for his closing remark in the video, where he wrote, “We’re watching from above,” a phrase widely interpreted online as a response to persistent rumours about his death. The statement quickly went viral, sparking mixed reactions across social media.
Despite the video, speculation continued online, with some users questioning its authenticity and suggesting it might have been generated using artificial intelligence. Observers pointed to perceived inconsistencies in visuals such as hand movements and background details, while others claimed the footage may have been repurposed from earlier official meetings. However, no official evidence has emerged to support these claims.
Netanyahu had earlier shared another video showing him in a more informal setting near Jerusalem, similarly aimed at countering rumours circulating in certain media outlets. His repeated appearances suggest an effort to maintain public confidence and assert control during a period of intense geopolitical tensions.
