Israel Unveils Full Plan: Operation Roaring Lion Targets Iran Regime Long-Term
Israel reveals joint strikes on dozens of Iranian military sites.
The Israeli military announced on Saturday that coordinated strikes with the United States targeted “dozens” of Iranian military sites, in an operation Israel described as part of a broader campaign against the Iranian regime. The strikes mark a significant escalation in tensions between Tehran, Washington, and Jerusalem.
“The strike targeted dozens of military targets and was carried out as part of a broad, coordinated, and joint operation against the regime,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement. The military emphasized that months of planning with the US armed forces preceded the operation, allowing for full synchronization between the two militaries.
The operation, named Roaring Lion by Israel, is aimed at “thoroughly degrading the Iranian terrorist regime and removing existential threats to the State of Israel over time,” the military said. Officials stressed that the campaign is intended as a sustained effort rather than a single-day strike.

According to a later statement, the Israeli Air Force is currently conducting airstrikes on multiple Iranian military sites in western Iran. The IDF provided few further operational details but indicated that the campaign is ongoing and remains coordinated with US forces in the region.
Israel’s Magen David Adom emergency service reported that while there were no confirmed casualties from the strikes themselves, teams treated several individuals injured while moving to protected areas and others experiencing anxiety. The agency emphasized the importance of remaining in shelters during ongoing military activity.
The strikes come amid a rising wave of regional tensions, including Iranian missile launches targeting Israel and the United Arab Emirates, US military operations in West Asia, and widespread international concern over the potential for the conflict to escalate further. Analysts say the coordinated US-Israel operation represents one of the largest joint strikes against Iran in recent years.
