KSEAB PUC 2 Karnataka 2026 Exams Start February 28, Continue Till March 17 Across 1,217 Centres

KSEAB will conduct exams at 1,217 centres with Kannada and Arabic papers scheduled on the opening day.

The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) is set to commence the Pre-University Certificate (PUC) 2 exams on February 28, 2026, marking the start of the Class 12 board examinations for over seven lakh students across the state. The exams will kick off with Kannada and Arabic papers on the first day and continue until March 17, covering a range of subjects across science, commerce, and arts streams.

For this year’s Class 12 examinations, a total of 710,363 students have registered from 5,174 pre-university colleges in Karnataka. The student body comprises 292,645 candidates from the science stream, 211,174 from commerce, and 142,982 from the arts stream. The exams will be conducted at 1,217 centres throughout the state, ensuring accessibility and smooth administration for all candidates.

Education authorities have emphasised strict adherence to examination protocols and COVID-19 safety guidelines where necessary. Students are advised to arrive at exam centres well ahead of time with their hall tickets and required stationery and to follow all instructions issued by invigilators to avoid any disruption during the tests.

The Karnataka PUC 2 exams are considered a crucial academic milestone, as results play a significant role in higher education admissions both within the state and nationally. Students from the science stream will be tested in subjects including physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics, while commerce candidates will appear for accountancy, business studies, economics, and related subjects. Arts students will be examined in languages, history, political science, and other elective papers.
