#JUST IN: Ukraine Driven out of Kursk! Russia Regains Entire Lost Territory

Kursk Cleared: Russia Claims Victory as Ukraine’s Bold Incursion Ends

Russia declared that all Ukrainian troops had been expelled from its Kursk region, marking the end of Ukraine’s audacious seven-month incursion.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov announced the development, with General Valery Gerasimov stating that the last town, Gornal, was liberated, thwarting Kyiv’s plans to disrupt Russia’s Donbass offensive. The operation, launched in August 2024, saw Ukraine seize up to 1,376 square kilometers, including the key town of Sudzha, in a surprise offensive aimed at gaining leverage for peace talks.

Russian forces, bolstered by North Korean troops, mounted a fierce counteroffensive, reclaiming territory since October. By March, Ukraine held only a sliver of land, with supply lines severed by advanced Russian drone tactics.

Ukrainian soldiers described a chaotic retreat under relentless drone and artillery fire, with Sudzha falling by mid-March. President Putin hailed the “complete defeat” of Ukrainian forces, claiming it weakened Kyiv’s “neo-Nazi regime.”

Ukrainian officials, including President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, have not commented on Russia’s claim. Earlier, Zelenskyy denied encirclement rumors, emphasizing the operation’s success in diverting Russian forces.

The incursion’s collapse strips Ukraine of a key bargaining chip as ceasefire talks, backed by U.S. President Donald Trump, gain momentum. With Kursk now under Russian control, the war’s dynamics shift, raising questions about Ukraine’s next move and the prospects for peace.
