Iran Releases Video of US A-10 Warthog Being Hit Mid-Air by Iranian Missile
Iran released footage showing its missile striking a US A-10 warplane in mid-air.
Iranian authorities have released a video claiming to show the moment a United States A-10 Warthog was struck mid-air by an air defence missile amid escalating tensions between the two nations. The footage, shared by the Consulate General of Iran in Mumbai, purportedly captures the aircraft being hit and exploding while flying over the region.
The video surfaced alongside reports that the A-10 fighter jet crashed near the Strait of Hormuz on Friday. According to initial accounts, the lone pilot onboard the aircraft was successfully rescued following the incident, though further operational details remain limited and unconfirmed by US authorities.
In a statement accompanying the footage, Iranian officials claimed that the aircraft was brought down by the country’s integrated air defence system. The post described the visuals as showing the “exact moment” the American warplane was targeted, reinforcing Tehran’s assertion of direct military engagement in the ongoing conflict.

The development comes amid broader reports of aerial confrontations, including claims that an F-15E Strike Eagle was also shot down over Iran. Two crew members were believed to have ejected from that aircraft, with one rescued while search operations continue for the second individual, according to reports citing US officials.
The Pentagon has acknowledged receiving information about an aircraft being shot down in the Middle East but has not confirmed specific details regarding the incidents. Meanwhile, the White House stated that President Donald Trump had been briefed on the situation, indicating the seriousness of the developments at the highest levels of government.
The incidents are part of a wider conflict that has intensified over the past month, following earlier US-Israeli strikes in Iran. As tensions continue to escalate, military engagements in the region are raising concerns about broader instability, with both sides yet to provide full clarity on the unfolding situation.
