Bomb Attack At Police Station Leaves Two Dead In Northwestern Pakistan

At least two people were killed and several others wounded when a motorcycle bomb exploded outside a police station in northwestern Pakistan on Monday, officials said.
The blast occurred near the entrance of the police facility, causing significant damage to the building and nearby vehicles. Local authorities said the improvised explosive device had been planted on a motorcycle parked close to the station. The force of the explosion shattered windows and sent debris across the surrounding area.
Police and emergency teams rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals for treatment. Security officials have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to identify those responsible. No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.

Northwestern Pakistan, particularly parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa bordering Afghanistan, has witnessed a resurgence of militant activity in recent years. Police stations and security personnel have frequently been targeted in attacks claimed by armed groups operating in the region.
Authorities said a formal investigation is underway and security has been tightened at sensitive installations across the province. The latest incident underscores ongoing security challenges facing Pakistan’s law enforcement agencies as they confront militancy in the volatile border areas.
