Thief Trapped Mid-Break-In At Ghaziabad Clinic, Rescued By Fire Officials

A break-in attempt at a Ghaziabad clinic ends with thief trapped and rescued.

A suspected burglary attempt at a private clinic in the Indirapuram area of Ghaziabad ended unexpectedly when the intruder became trapped between a metal shutter and an adjoining wall during the break-in attempt. The incident took place in the Abhay Khand locality and later required a coordinated rescue operation by emergency services.

According to initial reports, the individual—believed to be a minor—attempted to break into the clinic run by Dr Pawan Sharma by forcing open the shutter late at night. He reportedly climbed onto the roof to gain entry but slipped while attempting to descend into the premises, becoming wedged in a narrow gap between the shutter and the wall.

As a result of the fall, the suspect’s neck became stuck in the space, leaving him immobilised for several hours. Unable to free himself, he eventually raised an alarm the following day, which alerted nearby residents. Locals then informed authorities after hearing calls for help coming from inside the locked premises.

The Vaishali Fire Station received information about the trapped individual around 1:15 PM. A fire tender and rescue team were immediately dispatched to the site, where personnel used specialised equipment to carefully extricate him from the tight space. Video footage of the rescue operation later circulated widely on social media, showing emergency workers attempting to free the trapped intruder.

Following the rescue, the individual was taken into custody and shifted to a government hospital for medical examination. Doctors confirmed that his condition was stable, noting that any further delay in rescue could have proved fatal. Police identified him as a resident of Bihar living in the Khoda area of Ghaziabad, though he was unable to provide clear details of the timing of the attempted break-in.

Authorities stated that no formal complaint had been filed by the clinic owner at the time of reporting. Police investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
