STF Arrests Key Shooter of Deepak Nandal Gang In Haryana Crackdown
STF arrests shooter linked to Deepak Nandal gang in Haryana crackdown.
The Special Task Force of Haryana Police has arrested a key shooter linked to the notorious Deepak Nandal gang in a swift operation. The development comes as part of the state police’s intensified crackdown on organised crime syndicates operating in the NCR region, where gangsters like Nandal — reportedly directing activities from abroad — continue to orchestrate extortion and targeted attacks through local operatives.
According to police sources, the arrested individual is a hardcore member of the Nandal gang involved in multiple criminal cases, including shootings and arms-related offences. The STF team conducted the operation based on specific intelligence, leading to the apprehension of the accused from an area associated with Haryana. The arrest highlights the gang’s network that allegedly spreads across Haryana districts and neighbouring states, with members executing orders for extortion rackets and intimidation tactics against businessmen and other targets.
Deepak Nandal, suspected to be operating from a foreign location (often linked to western countries in previous reports), has claimed responsibility for several high-profile firing incidents in Gurugram in recent months. These include attacks on business offices and residences aimed at extorting money. The gang has been linked to cases involving automatic weapons and planned assaults, prompting the STF to prioritise dismantling its operational modules through sustained surveillance and inter-state coordination.

This latest arrest adds to a series of successes by the Haryana STF against the Nandal gang and similar outfits. In earlier operations, multiple shooters associated with the gang were detained in connection with firings in areas like Golf Course Road and DLF Phase-I in Gurugram. Police have recovered arms and ammunition in several related cases, underscoring the gang’s access to illegal firearms. Officials stated that interrogation of the arrested shooter is underway to gather leads on other active members and ongoing extortion plots.
The Haryana Police have been ramping up anti-gang operations, with the STF achieving notable breakthroughs in neutralising threats from foreign-based criminals and their local facilitators. Such arrests are seen as crucial in restoring confidence among residents and business communities in the industrial and urban hubs of Gurugram and surrounding areas, where gang-related violence has occasionally disrupted normalcy.
As investigations progress, authorities are expected to file additional charges and pursue further leads to completely disrupt the Deepak Nandal gang’s network. The move reinforces the state’s commitment to a zero-tolerance policy against organised crime, with continued focus on intelligence-driven actions and cross-border coordination to prevent resurgence of such syndicates.
