Punjab, Haryana police arrest two shooters in Kaithal encounter linked to Chandigarh property dealer murder.
In a joint operation reminiscent of a high-stakes crime thriller, the Punjab Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) and Haryana Special Task Force (STF) successfully apprehended two accused involved in the daylight murder of a property dealer in Chandigarh. The suspects were arrested following an encounter in Kaithal, marking a swift breakthrough in a case that had drawn significant attention due to its brazen nature and location in the city’s high-security Sector 9.
The accused have been identified as Rajan, also known as Piyush Pehalwan from Ferozepur, and Pritam Shah from Nawashahr. According to Punjab Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav, the duo is linked to the notorious Lucky Patial-Bambiha gang and was found in possession of three sophisticated firearms, including a .30 bore PX-5 pistol, a .30 calibre Chinese pistol, and a .32 calibre pistol along with ammunition.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that the arrested individuals are close associates of fugitive gangster Lucky Patial. Officials also indicated that Rajan alias Piyush Pehalwan is wanted in another high-profile murder case involving Yadwinder Singh, further underlining the suspects’ criminal background.
