Notorious Bihar Gangster Gunned Down in UP

Bihar Gangster Killed in Dramatic Encounter

A high-profile Bihar gangster, Dabloo Yadav, was killed in a police encounter in Hapur’s Simbhaoli area, Uttar Pradesh, during a joint operation by the UP Special Task Force (STF), Bihar Police, and Hapur police on the night of July 27-28, 2025. The notorious criminal, wanted for the abduction and murder of Vikash Kumar, alias Rakesh Kadam, a Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) block president in Begusarai, sustained a fatal chest wound and died in hospital.

Yadav, a resident of Sahebpur Kamal, Begusarai, carried a Rs 50,000 bounty and had 24 criminal cases against him, including murder, attempted murder, dacoity, and extortion, with 22 cases in Begusarai alone.

On May 24, 2025, he and his gang kidnapped Kadam, killed him in the riverine ‘diara’ region, and buried his body in sand to conceal the crime. Acting on a tip-off, police cornered Yadav, who opened fire, leading to the fatal exchange. A cache of firearms and cartridges was recovered from the scene.

Additional Director General (ADG) of UP STF Amitabh Yash called the operation a significant blow to Yadav’s criminal network. Authorities are now hunting for his remaining gang members.
