Noida Man Arrested for Obscene Gestures at Women in Viral Car Incident

A disturbing incident of road harassment in Noida has sparked outrage after a video showing a man making obscene gestures toward women from his car went viral on social media. The incident, which reportedly occurred near the Parthala bridge, has raised fresh concerns over women’s safety in public spaces.

The 17-second video shows a man seated in the driver’s seat of a red MG Hector SUV repeatedly blowing flying kisses at women travelling in a nearby car. He is also seen waving, pointing at the camera, and continuing the gestures despite being filmed. Another man was present in the back seat of the vehicle.

According to reports, the accused allegedly followed the women for a considerable distance, adding to their distress. The video was reportedly recorded by one of the women being harassed and later shared on social media, where it quickly gained widespread attention.

Taking swift action after the video went viral, Noida police traced and arrested both accused, who are residents of Sector 135. The police also seized the vehicle involved in the incident and initiated legal proceedings against the men.

The incident follows a similar case reported last month involving social media influencer Neetu Bisht, who alleged that she was chased and harassed by unidentified men from the DND Flyway to Greater Noida. In a viral clip, Bisht claimed that the men rammed her car multiple times, causing fear and panic.

While police intervened in the earlier case and made the accused apologise, no formal case was registered, drawing criticism online. Together, the incidents have intensified calls for stricter action against harassment and stronger measures to ensure women’s safety on roads.
