Rajasthan Man Arrested in MP for Concealing Identity with Fake Aadhaar at Hotel

Rajasthan man arrested in Madhya Pradesh for using fake identity to check into hotel with a woman.

A Rajasthan-based man was arrested in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh, on Tuesday for allegedly using multiple identities while checking into a hotel with a woman, police said. The man initially registered under the name “Chetan Prakash” but was later found using an Aadhaar card under the name Ashraf Khan from Jaisalmer.

The incident came to light when the hotel receptionist noticed that the online payment of Rs 600 was made through a UPI account registered in a different name. Upon questioning, the man presented two Aadhaar cards with identical photographs but different names and addresses, raising suspicion among the hotel staff and authorities.

Police took the couple to Kotwali police station for further interrogation. Preliminary investigations revealed that the pair had traveled to Mandsaur to appear for a laboratory technician examination at a government college in the district. The woman was identified as a resident of Nagaur, Rajasthan, and works as a nursing staff member in a private hospital in Jaisalmer.

Kotwali police in-charge Pushpendra Singh Rathore stated that families of both individuals have been informed and the investigation is ongoing. Further action will be taken based on verification reports and additional findings in the case.
