Mangaluru Conman Roshan Saldana Nabbed in Multi-Crore Fraud Bust

40 crore transactions uncovered in probe

Mangaluru City Police arrested Roshan Saldana, a 43-year-old fraudster linked to multi-crore financial scams, in a dramatic midnight raid at his Jappinamogaru residence. The Central Crime Branch (CEN), led by Assistant Commissioner of Police Ravish Nayak, found Saldana hiding in a secret chamber, ending his months-long evasion, police confirmed.

Saldana allegedly deceived high-net-worth individuals across Delhi, Mumbai, and other cities by promising loans worth hundreds of crores, collecting 1-2% as stamp duty and commissions before vanishing. Preliminary investigations revealed transactions exceeding Rs 40 crore in his accounts over the past four months, with the total fraud potentially reaching Rs 500 crore, according to police estimates.

The raid uncovered incriminating documents, blank cheques, 667 grams of gold ornaments, a diamond ring worth Rs 2.75 crore, and liquor valued at Rs 6.72 lakh, exceeding legal limits, leading to an additional excise case under Crime No. 39/2025. Two FIRs have been filed in Mangaluru (Crime No. 22/2025 and 30/2025) and one in Chitradurga, with more victims likely unreported due to embarrassment.
