Kannada actor Mayur Patel booked for alleged drunk driving after causing multi-vehicle crash in Bengaluru.
Kannada Film Actor Mayur Patel has landed in legal trouble after being accused of driving under the influence of alcohol and causing a multi-vehicle accident in Bengaluru. The incident reportedly took place around 10 PM on Old Airport Road, near the Commando Hospital traffic signal, creating panic among motorists in the busy area.
According to police officials, a vehicle that was stationary at the traffic signal was hit from behind, triggering a chain reaction that resulted in a collision involving four cars. Investigations revealed that Mayur Patel was driving a Toyota Fortuner at the time of the incident, and police suspect overspeeding and rash driving as the primary causes of the crash.
The impact of the collision led to damage to four vehicles, including two Swift Dzire cars and one government-owned vehicle. While no serious injuries were reported, the accident caused significant disruption to traffic and raised concerns over road safety in the area.

Following the crash, personnel from the Halasuru Traffic Police rushed to the spot and conducted a breath analyser test on the actor. The test reportedly returned a positive result, strengthening allegations that Patel was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
Subsequently, drivers of the damaged vehicles lodged formal complaints with the police. Based on these complaints, a case has been registered against Mayur Patel, and his Toyota Fortuner has been seized as part of the investigation. Police have stated that further action will be taken in accordance with the findings of the ongoing probe.
